Frog Close-Up | Pisgah National Forest

I found this Frog underneath some rocks on the banks of the South Toe River in western North Carolina. Photographing along the South Toe River Basin in the Pisgah National Forest is truly a mountain environment experience. The deep lush forest and mountain streams are home to an abundance of wildlife. I enjoy scouting these mountains streams and lifting rocks and discovering whats underneath. With this image I used a large telephoto lens to get close-up to the frog without changing its natural behavior.

Thank you for time & interest in my work and please visit the website www.naturewurks.com for additional images.

  1. This is a stunning photo and it was nice you were able to zoom in and still get great quality rather than actually get close to the toad and disturb it. Great photo!
