My Favorite Images / Peregrine Falcon

I found this Peregrine Falcon in the sand dunes of Cape Hatteras National Seashore on the outer banks of North Carolina. It had caught a small waterfowl bird and was feeding on it perched on the driftwood. He allowed me to get very close with my vehicle and use it as blind to shoot from.

  1. Great image, Pat! You got eye contact and everything. I think you actually have a peregrine falcon there, though. I don’t think goshawks get as far south as North Carolina. Really good idea to use the car as a blind.
