My Favorite Images / Grizzly Bear

I photographed this Grizzly Bear foraging for food in the high alpine meadows of Mount Washburn in Yellowstone National Park in western Wyoming. The grizzly bear, also known as the silvertip bear, the grizzly, or the North American brown bear, is a subspecies of brown bear that generally lives in the uplands of western North America. Grizzlies are normally solitary, active animals, but in coastal areas, the grizzly bear congregates alongside streams, lakes, rivers, and ponds during the salmon spawn.
