Mallard Duck Reflection | Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Mallard Duck Reflection

The pre-dawn rising from a warm bed was rewarded with this image that was captured in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park early in the morning. The low sunlight conditions created the perfect reflection in the mirror-like still water. This pond is one of many favorite places in the Smoky Mountains National Park to photograph. I followed and photographed this male Mallard Duck for almost one hour before I was able to capture this perfectly still moment of reflection, his image frozen in the water without any rippled distortion from his movement. As alway your comments are welcomed and your interest in my work is very much appreciated!
