Sunset over the Pamlico Sound
The Pamlico Sound is the largest lagoon on the east coast of the United States, which starts at Oregon Inlet to the north and ends on the southern end with Drum Inlet stretching 80 miles long and 30 miles wide at its widest. The brackish waters are fed by the Neuse and the Pamlico rivers mixing with the salty ocean brine, creating a playground of water sports and photographic opportunities.
