Wind River Mountain Range | Wyoming

Wind River Mountain Range

Wind River Range

The Continental Divide follows the crest of the Wind River Mountain Range which includes Gannett Peak, at 13,804 feet, is the highest peak in Wyoming. There are more than 40 other named peaks in the range in excess of 13,000 feet.

With the exception of the Grand Teton in the Teton Range, the next 19 highest peaks in Wyoming after Gannett are also in the Wind River Mountain Range. The high alpine mountain environment create a unique photographic experience.

The alpine lake above was my basecamp for 3 weeks of climbing, hiking & photographic adventures in the back country of the Wind River Range. The elevation of this lake was above 9,500 feet.
